See you at Covert Café!

Come see me on Friday, June 19th 5:30-7pm at Covert Café! Trading tunes with Rocky Seahorse. $5 suggested; NOTAFLOF

Dear Friend,

The summer solstice fast approaches, so this Friday, Rocky Seahorse and I will be on the Covert Café patio taking advantage of the good weather. Join us for some beer, bites, and bluesy alt Americana on the rocks!

Seriously, though, if you make it out to see us, get a sandwich! Last time we were there, Rocky reported the pastrami was tasty. I almost always favor the cheesesteak, but I just noticed they have a bbq pulled pork I have yet to try, also served on their ciabatta, which they grill perfectly, so I will almost certainly order it next time. I'm hungry just thinking about it.

Be well, and hope to see you soon!

Dear Friend, I celebrated my solar return last Monday, after erroneously commenting on KBOO's Live on Q with Cody Riker the earlier Saturday, that I am four years younger than Fiona Apple. I am, in fact, five years younger than Fiona Apple, who is also notably a Virgo, and celebrates her solar return on the 13th. So I guess...

Dear Friend, I had been agonizing about sending this particular issue, mostly due to some personal struggles I feel are unwise to detail in a parasocial setting, but then NATIONAL TREASURE DOLLY PARTON DIED. I have very little to add to the outpouring of grief and love splashing the internet at the moment. I would hardly call myself a fan, though I respected her. "9 to 5" is the second song on my "Gotta Get Up" morning playlist. Every interview I'd ever seen or read points to her being a...
