If you've you have received exactly zero emails from me before and don't know why you are on the receiving end of this one, please let me remind you that I am the lady with the colorful hair, bass guitar, and big voice that bewitched you probably at a bar and very likely at an open mic... maybe a long, long time ago, maybe not so long ago. I don't know. I assure you, you signed up for my mailing list. I'm indeed a living human person who very likely hand-copied your address out of a little yellow notebook and into a database that was supposed to make all this manageable. My analytics have historically reported just about half of subscribers actually opening the emails, but a few issues ago that number dropped drastically. Some readers have told me these were being delivered directly to the circular file, while others say they weren't being delivered at all.

Further research has proven that even attempting direct communication still requires navigating secret algorithms.

After much experimenting with my previous platform to very little avail, I've migrated my list to a new service in the hopes that people who actually want these notes get them. Greetings!
